Incubation Phase of the Phoenix Project Commences at the Nest Innovation Park

--

Proudly supported by Access bank, the Phoenix project was launched on the 29th of March, 2022.

The Phoenix Project is an initiative created to make a difference in the lives of youths in Nigeria and across Africa. This initiative aims to strategically support participants to access the knowledge required to become leaders in the creative industry.

The outcomes of the commitment to bringing a positive change to the creative industry have been glaring in the past few months as hundreds of Nigerian creatives have benefitted immensely from this initiative.

One of the distinguished brand partners of the Phoenix project is the Nest, a leading innovation support centre that provides creatives, startups and small businesses with dynamic support to scale up.

Following the launch in March, the beginner level kicked off with three bundles:

  • Film and Production
  • Business of entertainment
  • Social media for business

In each bundle, highly respected industry experts facilitated different courses, which are still available for interested individuals.

While positive feedback rolls in from participants at the beginner level, the phoenix project team is onto more exciting levels — the intermediate and advanced levels. Hence, the baton was passed on to the Nest, a leading innovation support centre that provides creatives, startups and small businesses with dynamic support to scale up.

To kickstart this intermediate level( incubation phase) at the Nest was the orientation program for the present cohort. Last week, the Nest hosted forty intermediate level participants, where the management welcomed and acquainted them with the learning process ahead.

The special guest for the day was Edward Israel-Ayide, the founder and Head of Communications and Strategy, Carpe Diem Solutions. He charged the participants to make the best use of the opportunity presented by the Phoenix project, and laid emphasis on the bigger picture in the creative industry.

At the end of the event, the participants were charged and excited about the next three months of the Phoenix project program at the Nest.

The Nest taking up the intermediate level of the Phoenix project presents an avenue to expose the participants to the fundamental and technical skills needed to excel across the subject areas of the program.

The Nest’s commitment to developing the next generation of industry experts is remarkable; this is evident in their partnerships.
